Tourism

There has been a marked growth in the use fo the area for countryside leisure activities by local residents, day visitors and, to a lesser degree, by tourists. There has also been an increase in the number of travellers passing through the area, as well as in the number of visitors whose destination is Loch Lomond and the Trossachs itself. The changing demands of the range of user groups have placed higher pressures on Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, and there are inevitable conflicts between the various roles which the area is expected to fulfil.
