Resources (Issue)

Inventory Topic Area: ACCESS INTO THE COUNTRYSIDE

Subject: RESOURCES

Management issues:

The financial resources which are available are supported essentially by public funds, but the lack of a strategic and integrated approach to problems tends inevitably to degrade and reduce these resources. Other mechanisms for generating financial resources and other support, such as private sector sponsorship for repairing paths, providing suitable launch points, signs and information points and funding conservation projects such as woodland regeneration, need to be explored. On the lochs, the fees generated by a boat registration scheme should provide further revenue.
