Introduction
The Loch Lomond NNR Reserve Record was conceived as a publication of an educational and informative nature which would present detailed information on virtually every aspect of the land use, wildlife and physical features of the site.
To this end there are planned phases over the next few years, designed to gradually complete field work necessary for the compilation of the various chapters. This first preliminary part contains much of the basic information on the physical features and past and present management of the reserve which it is hoped will prove useful to the field workers and authors for the next stages - Vegetation and flora, vertebrates and invertebrates
