Description : A discussion paper which summarises the proceedings of a one-day seminar held in February 1988 which considered the relationships between public policy and outdoor recreation in Scotland. The roles of the Countryside Commission for Scotland and the Scottish Sports council are explained in the light of an initial review of further recreational trends and a number of resource based case studies are examined - the Loch Lomond subject plan and the provisional beaches and dunes in Scotland for recreation and amenity purposes.
