Morphological Evidence as a Guide to Deglaciation following the Loch Lomond Readvance: a review of research approaches and models

Description : A paper in the Scottish Geographic Magazine (Vol 110) by Matthew R Bennett from the School of Earth Sciences, University of Greenwich. This paper provides a brief review of the different geomorphological approaches, interpretations and models which have been applied to this problem of deglaciation furing the Loch Lomond Stadial (Younger Dryas) in the Scottish Highlands which has been the subject of considerable debate during the last 30 years. This reflects the absence of an agreed model with which to interpret the geomorphology residue left by the ice-fields and corrie glaciers of this period.
